Dietary Server Training Program

NWEC's Dietary Server Program offers women employment skills to meet the needs of Niagara’s booming long-term care & retirement living industries.   Become a valuable part of the team of essential workers!  Our program provides valuable certifications and job placement potential.  NWEC works with our funder, The Government of Ontario and community partners at Employment Ontario to assist participants with securing placements or employment, following the successful completion of the program. Please note that a Clear Vulnerable Sector Check is not a requirement for program entry, but it is a requirement for working as a dietary server. This program is offered online and can be completed on your own time, at your own pace. 

Participants of the Dietary Server Training Program receive training on: 

- Violence and Harassment in the Workplace  

- WHMIS   

- Safe Food Handling  

- Workplace 4 Step Health and Safety   

- Elder Abuse Prevention Certificate   

- Empathy and Sensitivity Training

- Resume Development, interview skills and job readiness assistance   

- Assistance for enrolment in Food Service Worker at Niagara College
