Thank you: Lisa's Story

I became involved in NWEC in early 2020.  The last few years have been rough on me due to my health.  I decided I needed to start to make changes in my life and got on google.  I somehow found the NWEC and emailed for information.  I quickly got a meeting with Brenda and had my intake.     I graduated from the program in June 2020. From my experience in the program,  I realized I can do a lot more than I thought I am able and capable of.  I just needed the proper education and support system with female mentors.  I now feel my future will be different and I am able to build on my skills from NWEC.  I feel more in control of my life now.  Previous to starting I felt out of control with a bleak future.  This was an important change because I was depressed and had given up on life.  I saw myself as a sick person with little choice or, opportunity for anything better than what I had. Through the program,  I was shown that with the proper teachers, mentors and direction I can do a lot with my life.  If someone doesn’t know what is out there or lacks the support to make changes it seems impossible to make a change in life.  I have since graduated from NWEC's Virtual Assistant Training program and am working at building my business
